March 17 American Idol Results Show.

Hey there friends. The show has just finished. I will take a few minutes to write this here blog, and then do my nightly turn on the "Dance Dance Revolution" game. -I skipped a day yesterday. Had a meeting after work...
Tonight's results show was fun. In the group song, we could really notice that women outnumber men in this year's competition by 2:1. That should be good news for the guys who will be able to grab more of the "I have a crush on..." that will be split among fewer guys. (I think that "IHACO" votes go in this order: 1. Jon Peter 2. John Stevens 3.-tie- George or Matt. Agree?)
Clay Aiken was good. It was nice to see him on stage. He seems a bit older, possibly because he has put on some weight. That's a good look for him. (Does anyone have his "Measure of a Man" album? Is it any good?)
The bottom three vote-getters on this week's "Idol" were: Amy Adams, Jennifer Hudson, and Leah LaBelle. I was surprised (but happy) that Camile wasn't in the bottom three. I expect to find my personal favorites perpetually among the bottom three (see: Julia and Carmen from season 2.)
Bottom-three commentary:
Amy Adams:
Personality goes only so far. Last night's performance wasn't as good as it should have been. I'd bet that she'll bounce back next week, sing something fantastic, and get herself out of the bottom-three. I am however concerned that I may have overestimated her chances of winning the competition. (see my "predictions/ handicapping" blog from last Wednesday.)
Jennifer Hudson:
I am surprised that she was in the bottom-three. I suppose that America sees her as being weird. I thought that was just me who thought that. I am still undecided as to whether I think she can bounce back for next week.
Leah LaBelle:
I knew America wouldn't vote for her. Somehow she has that "thing" that turns off lots of people (especially women.) Personally I was indifferent toward her, but I had a strong feeling that she wouldn't last. I think that part of her problem is that she doesn't have anything to say when there is a microphone in her face. It really is a shame that she made it into the top-twelve over Suzy Vulaca. I know that Suzy wouldn't have been in the bottom-three for a while.
Who am I looking forward to seeing perform next week? (Who are my favorites to date?)
1. Diana DeGarmo
2. Camile Velasco (did I spell that right?)
3. George Huff

My sister Dena is competing in a few events in the NCAA Division 1 Swimming Championships at Texas A&M this Thursday-Saturday. Good luck Dena (in individual events,) and Good luck Rainbow Warriors relay team!
Here is a picture of baby Kenny. I took it today when I came home from work.

Just in case you're wondering, here are the odds that I made last week:
Preliminary unofficial American Idol 3 Line:
for information and amusement purposes only
Fantasia 3:1 (super-talented)
Amy 6:1 (super cool)
Diana 10:1 (cute. has a gimmick)
Camile 50:1 (too shy)
Jasmine 20:1 (pretty)
George 50:1 (Fan-favorite, but limited. Better than Rickey Smith.)
Jon Peter 25:1(Would be worse, but he's a fan-favorite)
Jennifer 50:1(She'll hit the wall some time)
Leah 75:1 (Nobody will vote for her. This year's Julia. -except I liked Julia!)
Matt 15:1 (He'll get Josh's votes. I didn't like him either.)
John Stevens 90:1(Too limited)
LaToya 25:1(Talent may overcome lack of apparent personality. Maybe she'll grow on us.)

It killed me not to read your blog earlier. You must be east coast time. I am west coast. I just got done watching the show and I gotta say I am not surprised by the vote. However, I can't seem to pick who I want to win, but there is one that I want to go...the football player Matt. He is so cheesy, greeeeeezy and sooooo sleeeeezy....I don't know why I took an instant dislike to him, but I did....Maybe he will get the boot next week!!1 This is going to be hard not peeking at your blogs in the future...

Found this site by accident when I was looking for a review for the band Sue Generis. Casey is out on the road touring with them. Then I saw your name, but best of all, I saw my great nephew. If this is the only way I'll get to see him, I'll have to visit this site more often. Love ot all!
