We'll start this one off with a cute picture of baby Kenny. He is a little over four months old right now.

I hope that all of you had a happy Thursday. There is only one day left until the weekend, and only about two weeks left until Spring Break. Yay!

Spring Break can't come soon enough. My plants in my seedling box are about ready to be planted. My corn, daikon, cucumbers, shiso, and tomatoes are getting pretty big. We also have a tree coming by the end of the month. (I am looking forward to having a "tree-flower blossom party" this June, even though the tree will only be a few feet tall at the start.)

Coming home from work, I get to enjoy the Spring Grand Sumo Tournament from Osaka, Japan. It is currently between day 5, and day 6 of the two-week tournament. So far, Yokozuna Asashoryu and Ozekis Chiyotaikai and Kaiyo seem to be the strongest. Lower down the Banzuke, Kokkai and Asasekiryu are also doing quite well.

Kaiyo's takedown of Tamanoshima, and Asashoryu's dispatch of Kyokutenho were especially impressive today.

Among my favorites, Kyokushuzan and Asanowaka aren't doing so well. Those two are ranked a bit higher than they should be. This tournament will be pretty bad for them. Next time they'll be able to settle into a more comfortable rank. As far as Takanonami goes: I am afraid that it's almost over for him. He can't seem to get anything done this time. Even his outside mawashi grip (Takanonami's specialty) hasn't been working for him.

A younger guy that is really growing on me is a fellow named Takikaze. He looks like a little egg. I call him "Humpty Dumpty." Little Takikaze gave Takamisakari a hell of a hit off of the tachi-ai in today's match! That was cool. I think that Takikaze will develop into one of my favorites. I like the little ones.

One guy who is in the upper division from Juryo, is a fellow named Chiyotenzan. This guy used to be ranked really highly, and then he sort of fell off the sumo-planet. His performance since coming back from Juryo has been the worst that I have ever seen (from ANY rikishi.) I wonder what's wrong with him.

(If you have broadband and want to see each day's sumo, visit: www.banzuke.com. It is in English. Check out Day 5, Takamisakari vs. Takikaze.)

Just in case Kenny wants to be a sumo wrestler, we have picked out the ring-name "Koinu" for him. "Koinu" means: "Puppy Dog." Here is a picture of him handing over his sumo wrestler-style autograph:

Here are a couple of pictures of Kenny on the floor:

Our little guy, happy in the high chair.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Kenny. We took it after his shower the other day.
