Last week about Wednesday, I had that "...like a cake out in the rain" song stuck in my head. I thought that was a little weird, as I hadn't heard the song for a few years.

Then about Friday, the radio program that I listen to in the morning (Bob Yates on WMGT AM 1220 Twin Cities) used that song for bumper music.

Finally, Homer sang that song on last Sunday's episode of "The Simpsons."

It must be some kind of serendipity, but I was forced to live the life of a cake in the rain this afternoon.

Two schools that I work at are next door to each other. Depending on where I will be finishing my stay at each school determines where I park my car.

This afternoon we had a thunderstorm with strong rain. As I was leaving to commute between schools, I found myself searching for my car in the wrong parking lot. After two minutes or so, I realized my mistake and headed for the other school. Of course in those two minutes, I was soaked from head to toe. I (sort of)ended up as the cake that was left in the rain.

I've never heard that song, who sings it?

It bothers me when I dont know everything about every singer/group/song...

The real question is: Would you still have been caught in the rain if you hadn't thought of/heard the song?

Things that make you go....hmmmmmmm

MacArthur Park

A hit for Sir Richard Harris in 1968. Covered by many artists since.
