The day after "The Great American Songbook" show, Rod Stewart stopped by to sing a song. It is really interesting to observe how effortlessly a veteran performer can sing a song in comparison to the young Idol contestants. Rod made it look really easy to sound good.
Next week's guest star/ coach will be Andrea Bocelli. He'll help the contestants with "great love songs." -I doubt that this Bocelli fellow was chosen to appeal to the under-18 demo, but it should be fun anyway.
The Bottom Three:
This week's bottom three were: Ace, Paris, and Chris. In the end, Ace was eliminated.
Paris was the first sent "back to the couch." It seems that Paris has become the victim of viewers' apathy. She is a really good contestant, and last night was fantastic. That said: she's missing something for people to get too excited about.
Chris' descent into the bottom-three must be partly related to the fact that he was on first. Other reasons may be: Other people (like me) are beginning to get tired of Chris. I am bored with him.
Last night's song wasn't any good, and people resented the judges covering for him.
Ace: He sang that awful Queen song last week. He hasn't been any good since he sang "Father Figure" anyway.
