As the title says, I am wondering about people's favorite episode of "The Simpsons". Forgive me if this is a rehash for some of you. (It is possible that a similar discussion has been posted in JU before. As a matter of fact, I may have even written the article. I'm not sure.)
Today is May 1st. That means that it is the beginning of the sweeps period in American television. For the next four weeks, we will be able to enjoy the best that TV has to offer.
This week in my market the daily syndicated "The Simpsons" is featururing "Matt Groening's Top Ten Favorite Episodes." (I'd imagine that this theme is being used in all of the markets, but I can only speak for the one that I am familiar with.)
Scrolling through the week, I found that "Matt's Picks" include: The one where Marge takes bowling lessons, The one where Bart buys a factory, The 'Oh Streetcar!" one, and the one where the family gets shock therapy. (Here is an online version of the list.)
My personal favorite is the one where the Simpsons visit New York. I loved it when Homer was stuck with his car outside of the WTC, needing a bathroom after drinking his fill of crab juice. (Crab juice, sold by the khal kalesh man.)
My other favorite one was when Homer was his union's leader. After Homer negotiated a new contract with Mister Burns, he started spinning around on the floor (with his head in a fixed position) going "woo woo woo. . ." ala Curly.
Any other favorites out there?
