Hey there friends! I hope that you've had a happy Saturday.
Kazuko and I had a good day. After sleeping in, Kazuko, Kenny and I went to have lunch at the Hong Kong Buffet in Elk River. After lunch, we bought the materials that we will be needing to install the pole that we will use to install our
Koinobori
(Japanese fish streamers.)
I bought some cement and a mounting tube to put the pole into the ground. In about three days (once the cement has finished setting) I will post a picture of the
koinobori
blowing in the breeze.
Here is what Kenny looked like as we were out for the day. I took these two pictures as we were waiting to get coffee at Caribou:
In the evening, our friends Andy and Chialing came over to our house. After a nice barbeque dinner, and we watched the last two shows of American Idol. Once we finished with Idol, we played Mah-Jong. That was my first attempt at the game. It was hard at first, but I think it will be a game that I will eventually understand. It seems an awful lot like gin rummy.

That's so funny to see other people play ma-jong other than the people that play it in my basement every weekend with my mother!!!

It's
funny
that I've never seen a 'real' mah-jong game in progress. Only on the internet.
Good luck getting the hang of it, Jamie.
