Tonight's show featured the rest of the auditions that hadn't previously made it on to television.  Most of tonight's auditions were good, with a few poor ones thrown in.

Those who made it:

Tami Gosnell: pulls a cart for a living.  Has a unique, plain-Jane appeal.  Is an awfully good singer as well.  I think that this one may stick around for a while.

Paul Kim: took William Hung as sort of an "inspiration" inasmuch as P.K. wanted to show that there are Asian performers out there with talent.  Paul's look didn't match his voice, but he sang well enough to be sent on to the next round.

I wonder however, whether Paul Kim has more singing voices than the one he used for the audition.  If he doesn't have more than one voice (about which I have a hunch that he doesn't), he won't last very long.

Gina Glockson: returnee with a splash of red in her black hair.  Loves Simon Cowell.  Gina sang "Black Velvet."  "Black Velvet" is getting as cliche this season as Whitney Houston had become in seasons prior.

Frisco's Star Hops:  Three ladies came in dressed as roller waitresses.  Two of the three made it.  Seventeen-year-old Ashley Cleland made it through.  Thin and beautiful Ebony Jointer outshined her friends.  Ebony will probably make it the furthest of the three.

Lakisha Jones:  sang "Think" with a big Aretha voice.  Very, very good!

So that's it for the auditions.  Next week the drama and the tears begin.  I always enjoy watching the girls fight amongst themselves.
