"The Graham Norton Effect" premieres on Comedy Central

Until a few months ago, BBCAmerica had been broadcasting a clever chat show called "So Graham Norton."  For long stretches over the past few years, I would watch "So Graham Norton" nightly on BBCAmerica before heading off to bed.  I really enjoyed the show, Graham's sense of humor, and his high-B/low-A-list guests.

When Graham Norton agreed to do a new show on Comedy Central, BBCA pulled his show.  We went through a few months here without Grahasm and his show.

I missed him...

The good news is that the new program on Comedy Central, "The Graham Norton Effect" is basically the same as the old program.  The only big difference is the music.  (I'll have to get used to that.)

Tonight we had: embarassing stories, Sandra Bernhart and a Wayan brother, a lifelike sex-doll getting hit-on in a bar, and a tooth-brushing fetishist with a website.  A pretty entertaining show.

Welcome back Graham Norton!

I adore Graham Norton. He was taping shows in NYC for a while that were showing in England but, to my enormous frustration, weren't played over here. I didn't realize he was on Comedy Central--I'll have to check it out! Is the little old lady still on? (I can't remember her name).

No she wasn't as a matter of fact. Good catch! I forgot about her. Wasn't her name "Helen?"

I LOVE GRAHAM NORTON!!!!

Shades, I think you and I were separated at birth sometimes......!

My favorite episode was the one where he called the German 1-900-sex number...hilarious!

Gladys!

good memory. I'm sad she's not back.

I really liked the one where he called a Dolly Parton impersonator and had Dolly Parton talk to her--the impersonator said Dolly's accent was clearly a fake, the real Dolly wouldn't sound so 'put on.' Dolly Parton had a good laugh over it.

Also love the teddy bear phone, particular when he's doing something nasty and it's coming out of this sweet little bear!
