In 1994, I bought a nice pair of Converse basketball shoes. They held up really well. I wore them regularily until 2001. After 8 years, my worn-out basketball shoes were put to rest.
After giving up on those shoes, I purchased a series of disposable shoes from discount department and shoe stores. Each pair of $20 shoes lasted me around three months each.
A couple of days ago, the time came to buy a new pair of recreational shoes. I decided to end the series of cheap shoes. My family and I went to the Nike outlet store. For only a little more than the $20 I had been paying for disposable shoes, I have (hopefully) purchased a pair of shoes that will last me a few years. (I think that my new shoes ended up costing me less than $50.)
-Actually $50 is more than twice as much, isn't it. Anyway, you get my point!
I am happy with my new shoes. They're comfortable and they look nice.
