In the school district where I work, the kids will come back to school next Wednesday, and the teachers have been back since yesterday.

Before going into work yesterday I was a little sad because I wasn't ready for my summer vacation to be over.  I had such a nice time relaxing with family and friends.  I wasn't looking forward to getting back into the daily grind.

Returning yesterday, I was greeted by the of happy faces of colleagues who welcomed me back to work.  Everyone seemed really enthusiastic to do their best for the new school year.  I am also more optimistic for next year because my department is a lot more prepared to start than we were last year.  (I am looking forward to using the plans that my coworker Meagan and I worked on over the summer!)

Here's hoping for the best!

On the last day of summer vacation, Baby Kenny got to visit and play with our friends' (Larry and Kelly's) baby Bryn.  Bryn is three months older than Kenny.  It is really nice to get Kenny out to interact with other children, especially since we saw what a good time he had playing with his cousin in Japan.

Looks like the kids were having fun. Thats a bummer that you start school so early. Jaysens school doesn't start back up until Sept. 13th!
