Yesterday in the newspaper, I read that American Idol will start its fourth season in January. How exciting! I look forward to the Tuesday and Wednesday night "appointment television" that AI provides.
This year the age limit will be raised, thus leading to (hopefully) older and better performers. (And who isn't still burning about John Stevens' weekly successes? The poor kid just wasn't trained enough, yet he kept getting voted through.)

In this morning's newspaper, I read that former contestant Jasmine Trias received a big welcome in the Phillipines (where she is featured in advertising.) Good for her! I think that her biggest talent lies in modelling.

Has anyone listened to Julia DaMato's downloadable song? Julia was one of my favorites from season 2, but her internet song seems to lack a little substance. Hopefully she takes Simon's advice that she go into acting.

I wonder what Carmen Rasmussen is up to? She was one of my season 2 favorites. Also, I wonder what season 3's Camile is doing these days. She was a nice girl too.

Clay Aiken (my favorite from the whole series thusfar -slightly more interesting than Kelly Clarkson) seems to have made it big. I hope that he will continue to project that "nice young man" image (regardless of how he eventually decides to live his life.)

Just a few American Idol musings. There will be more in January!
