Hey there friends!  I hope that all of you are having a nice day/evening.

Today my wife, my son, and I had a nice day.  We drove down to the Minnesota Zoo.  We wanted to take baby Kenny to see the animals.  The zoo was pretty empty because of the cold weather and the beginning of the shopping season.  It was a fantastic time to be there because it was like we had the whole place to ourselves!  (I'd have to say that mid-to-late November might be the best time of the year to visit the zoo up here!)

After the zoo we did a bit of shopping, and then we had dinner at a Korean restaurant.  (Kazuko had Yu-ke-Jyan, and I had Kimchee Chige)  Korean food was a yummy choice.

After dinner, we stopped by a Russian grocery store to see what was there.  I brought a black bread drink called kvas.  I enjoy drinking kvas whenever I find myself in Russia.  If you ever find yourself at a Russian grocery: I recommend buying yourself a bottle of the stuff.

Finally we stopped by a "Bakers Square" restaurant to take home a pie to enjoy over the next couple of days.  I really love hot apple pie with ice  cream!

It was a fun Saturday!  Here are a few pictures of our day.

Mom and baby were ready to see some animals in the outside exhibits:

Kenny was SUPER happy to be at the zoo.  He really liked seeing the animals, and the other kids who were there.

Baby tried to get a better look at one of the exhibits.  Kenny's favorite animals were the wild Asian horses.  (He also liked to see the snow monkeys.)

My favorite animals at the zoo are the moose.  I got a good view of them today.  They seemed to be resting happily in the cool weather.
