Hey there.

It was seemingly a long day. As I was driving home from work, I thought about what I had done during the day. Thinking back to events in the morning, I said to myself: "Wow! I can't believe that happened this morning! It seems so long ago." But now I find myself at home, updating my weblog. Ready to unwind after another in a string of busy days leading to summer vacation.

After this I will play with my barbells, watch sumo, play with my wife and son, and eat dinner. I plan to catch a couple of episodes of "Seinfeld" this evening as well. It is good to have my evening planned. I am happy to be home!

On the way home from work today, I stopped by the banks of the Mississippi River. I planned to photograph some of the swans that visit us in Monticello this time of year. The pictures that I took don't really do justice to the beauty of the scene by the river, but maybe you can get a sense of what I saw by looking at them.

Here are two pictures of some swans swimming in the water.

Here are some flying away.

And here's one for you Kentaro fans out there.

Thanks for reading!

I enjoy your description of the swans! I also enjoyed the pictures that you took. Of course, I was more than happy to see the added picture of Kenny. Today was a long day for me too for some reason. Dad is making soup. Watching West Wing. It was the best of the other two choices (not including cable). Have a relaxing evening. Look forward to tomorrow's blog.

Hey Jamie! I never really realized that we had swans in Minnesota except at the zoo! they are so beautiful. I am also suprised to see that so much of the river is unfrozen, is that typical? oh well aloha and have a happy day.
