Margaritas

Hello there. I hope that all of you are psyched-out for the three-day weekend. I always appreciate them when they come around!

As my headline suggests, I am enjoying my evening with a margarita in hand. I don't think that I have had one of those in over a year! I gave my wife a sip, and she echoed my sentiment when she said, "Nadskashii!" (Which in Japanese means: "reminiscent of times past.")

Ususally I fancy drinking beer. Today, the mood struck me to get some tequila and margarita mix. After dinner, I mixed one for myself like I used to when I lived in Japan. I used to go 5/8 tequila, 3/8 mix. Wow! Is it ever strong! I don't think that I will not be getting a refill tonight. ...well, maybe one.

I suppose I don't really fancy myself as a "cocktail person." I can't really name one that I like outside of a margarita. (I suppose that I could put up with a bloody mary once in a while.) I am usually happy getting a nice Canadian beer. (Not LaBatt's though, yuck!)

Okay, I am going to go do my thing... You people out there enjoy yourselves.

Jamie, you're my type of guy. I too have my Margarita in hand as I write this.

I don't like beer myself, but I love margaritas!

MMmmm... I love them too. I have a favorite little mexican restaurant that I love going to and I always have a frozen one there with dinner. I like making them at home now and then too. They are the best on hot summer days. Sometimes I'll make a tequila sunrise for a change. Just use a shot or two of tequila in a tall glass and top off with OJ and add a little spike of red grenadine. Serve over ice.
