Hello there. I hope that it is going fine for all of you.

Not much to say today. Everything went as expected. I went to work, I came home, I shoveled snow. Kazuko and I watched American Idol, we went grocery shopping, we danced, and we watched "Seinfeld." Actually come to think of it, it was a pretty good night!

I really enjoyed the last guy on "American Idol" tonight. If you don't remember, he was that Chinese civil engineering student who sang "She Bangs." He was pretty funny. Even though he's not much of an Idol-talent, he put on quite a show. -Speaking of "...Idol," what the hell is up with that lady doing the tippy-toes walk? I always wonder what she's doing whenever they play a clip of her.

I will leave you with a few photographs that I took this afternoon:

Here's a shot of the house after the snow. Now that it's snowy, the weatherman said that it's going to get really cold!

Another shot of the house after the snowstorm.

Here's Kazuko. This is how she carries baby Kentaro around while she does her chores.

I'm guessing you live somewhere where the same storm that hit us went. Northern Minnesota, perhaps? (I'm in Grand Forks) We got 13.8 inches in total, according to the local paper. And were in store for a high (yes, the high temperature) of -17 F on Wednesday.

I wore both of my boys around until they got too heavy. I even shoveled snow with a 12month old on my back. They both loved it. My favorite thing was the sling though. I got one when I heard a report that a newborn infant suffocated in a Snuggli front pack while at the zoo. The sling was comfortable and easier to get the baby in and out of.

American Idol: I thought the engineering guy was adorable. I also wondered what the tippie toe girl was doing. So far, the only ones I disagreed with were the Army girl in the first try out (I thought she was great) and then last night I thought the girl with the "Big Girls Rock" shirt was really great.

I think "great" is a bit overstated for the "Big Girls..." lady. I'd listen to her sing at a coffee shop or something. Other than that, I agree with everything that you said.
