So last night my wife and I were in the mood for pie.  (I especially wanted some apple pie!)  We drove to Maple Grove to visit the "Bakers Square" restaurant for dinner and pie.

Now we don't go out very often on Friday or Saturday nights, so we weren't prepared for the crowd that was waiting to get a seat at Bakers Square.  (I remember trying to get into a Joe's Crab Shack a few years ago.  The wait was around two hours.  No wonder why we only go out to eat on weekdays!)

We decided to visit a Thai restaurant in Albertville instead.  Good choice for us!  The food was excellent.  I had some peanut curry chicken, and Kazuko had some sort of hamburger/basil/cilantro dish mixed with rice.  (It didn't dawn onto me to photograph the food until we had already started eating.)  I am pretty happy that Bakers Square was so crowded.  Instead of crappy food with good pie, we were able to enjoy excellent Thai food (with no pie.)

After dinner we went to Coborn's (grocery) to pick up an apple pie.  I was too full after dinner to eat some pie last night.  I will have my apple pie today.

While we were at Coborn's, we let baby Kenny ride a mechanical horse ride.  The ride only costs one-cent.  Even though Kenny is too small for the ride (I had to hold onto him as he was riding,) he seemed to have a reasonably good time on it.

By the look on Kenny's face it sure looked like he enjoyed the horse ride. Thanks for sharing the adorable picture!

It looks like he had a great time! My boys love those rides and it is so easy to make them happy with one little ride!

1 cent - that is astounding. Those rides here cost anywhere between 40c (2x20c) $1, $2 or $4 (2x$2) it's outrageous.

Cute picture though
