Last night a snowstorm came through most of Minnesota.  We had lots of the white stuff, along with wind that made some pretty sizable drifts.  That was our first significant snowfall of the year.

It was bad enough that my wife got my car stuck in the driveway as she was backing out of the garage.  We both had to shovel the car free before she could go off to work.  (She drove my car to work today because it is better in the snow.)

Once my wife got home from work, I set out to plow the driveway and walkways around my house.  I was able to get it all done except my front steps.  I am saving that for tomorrow.  There is A LOT of snow piled up there, and my snowblower is barely up to the task.  (It is kind of a wimpy model.) This is what I have to deal with:

Kenny had a chance to walk in the snow before we went out today.  He enjoys the winter weather:

Once we got the driveway all cleared up, we went to Minneapolis to return some rental videos, and then to Saint Paul to have Vietnamese food for dinner.

I took a couple of pictures of Kenny at the restaurant.  His new trick is posing for a camera.  He picked that up over the past few days.  The amount of words, gestures, and tricks that he has learned over the past few weeks is pretty impressive.  It is amazing how quickly babies can pick up new stuff.  (Examples: Some dances from a TV show, eating with a spoon, brusing his own teeth, rubbing himself with a sponge, building things with blocks, waving and saying bye whenever he sees people leave, constantly asking "What's that?", pretending with and talking to dolls, mimicing sounds, making faces at himself in the mirror, and lots more...)  -I wish I still had that capacity to acquire knowledge.  Then Spanish would come more quickly for me.

That's all for me today.  I've got to go to bed.  I am SO SLEEPY!

Check back on Tuesday night for my American Idol recap.

Thank you! Thank you! I loved seeing the pictures of Kenny!!!!!! The mounds of snow around here are unbelieveable. Yesterday even the roof had to be shoveled! We are running out of places to put the snow! Driving has also been really "interesting". Got new tires on Thursday. Sure made a difference. Glad Kenny is getting to be outside! HAPPY SHOVELLING!
