Happy Sunday Everybody!

Kazuko and I had a busy day today. Our biggest accomplishment was putting up our Christmas lights.

These are some lights that we put on a really tall pine tree in our yard. I wasn't able to reach the very top of the tree, so there aren't any lights up there. Eventually I think that I will have to get a ladder to finish the job.

These are some icicle-type lights that I hung from the gutter. I think that these turned out really well.

The Grand Sumo Tournament started today. It is taking place in Kyushuu, in the southern part of Japan. The tournament will run for two weeks starting today. This tournament is especially exciting because one of the grand champions (Mussashimaru) is returning from a two-year injury break.

I look forward to coming home from work to watch the day's sumo. I usually set my VCR to record it from 2-4 PM. I am really happy that Kazuko and I have the chance to watch sumo. That is one of the Japanese things that I missed living in America.

My favorite Rikishi at this time are: Asashoryu, Takanonami, and Kyokushuzan. I am also interested in seeing how Takamisakari and Musashimaru do. In general: I just like to see good matches, but I have a few favorites!

This weekend went by quickly. It is already Sunday evening! I am going to run to Taco Bell to get some tacos for dinner. (Kaco is busy in the kitchen making holiday cookies.) Then Kazuko and I will watch "King of the Hill," "The Simpsons," and "The Practice." Sunday is a good night to watch television.

After tonight, two days at work. Followed by three days at the hospital while we're getting Kentaro out via cesarian section. We'll have to be at the hospital at six o'clock in the morning on Wednesday. I am looking forward to all of the excitement that will be coming-up. I also can't wait to meet the baby.

Okay my friends. Have a happy rest-of-the-day and a lovely beginning-of-the-week!

I'm surprised. Is the Sumo Tournament Program being broadcasted in the U.S.? Is it full-match program(probably my English is wrong, but I hope you can understand.) or digested one? Can you watch every "Basho"(I mean, six "Basho"s in a year)?

Anyway, enjoy watching the Sumo Tournament.

Yes Masato. Kazuko and I have a television station called TV Japan.

TV Japan is a satellite station that we pay extra money to get at our house.

Best wishes on the baby. How exciting! I have a dear friend that is due to deliver via c-section on the 13th. I have been through chilbirth twice and must say there is nothing more exciting, scary and incredible all wrapped into one.

Your lights look beautiful. I have a fear of heights so am dreading putting up the lights but love them so much it will be worth it. I love the holiday season!

I am enjoying reading about the things you enjoy hear in the US. It is nice to hear something other than how materialistic and evil Americans are. Hope your family enjoys a very happy life here.
