On Monday morning when my son and I woke up, I noticed that he had been sick.  Since then we have enjoyed lots of vomit, terribly messy diapers, sleepless nights, and a cranky baby.  My wife and I each had to spend a day home from work too.

He hasn't been able to keep much in the way of food down.  He's been sucking down ice cubes, electrolyte drink, and eating a bit of apple sauce and bananas.  I'd bet that he's looking forward to the point that he can eat real food again.

We took the baby to the doctor, and she said that he has a stomach virus that has been going around.  (It is called the rotavirus.)  Apparently we have another week-or-so left of this fun.  (Although the vomiting is supposed to subside.)

Kenny is doing his best.  He tried to eat a couple of mommy's french fries this evening.

What was really cute was watching the baby dip his french fries into ketchup.  We have never seen him do that before.

The poor thing! My nephew had the same thing last week. I never again want to see any poos or spews! It's terrifying how much weight they lose in such a short time as well.

Make sure you are washing your hands obsessively - I avoided catching it as well, but my sister was not spared such a fate.

Take care and I hope he's better soon!

Poor baby Kenny! (As well as no fun for mom and dad).
