Hello there. I hope that you're having a nice weekend. It is Sunday evening now, what happened to the time?

My wife, the baby, and I didn't do much this weekend. We stayed at home. It seems that baby Kenny is a little bit sick. He is congested, in a bad mood, and has a slight fever. We'll bring him in to the doctor tomorrow.

I was able to take a few cute pictures of the little guy. He will turn three months-old this week.

Kenny doesnft look to be in the best mood today. He is a bit cranky from time to time.

Mommy makes him feel better.

Here comes a big sneeze!

After a while, it seems that baby Kentaro cheers up a bit.

Sounds like he has a cold Typically, unless it is a fever that lasts more than a couple days, or can not be controlled by Motrin or other fever reducers, it's nothing to worry about. It's also not unusual for kids to run fevers of 100+. If it's under that, it's probably just a cold. Welcome to the fun of sick kids!

My daughter is congested right now, too. Tis the season!

There is a product out there that I found works well. They are vapor patches. They say to put it on the child's chest, but I put it on my daughters under shirt and it works well (put it on her chest once and it was hard to get off). They have vapor in them to keep their noses from being so stuffy and helps them sleep. And, if they sleep, then you can sleep

Good luck! Hope he feels better soon!

I don't think you can use those patches for infants. My first son, who is congested right now as well, was a very congested baby. He was born the last day of Nov and was congested most of that Winter. All the doctor would tell me is keep a humidifier going, have him in the bathroom with me when running a hot shower and dose him with Tylenol or Motrin if he ran a fever. Most pediatricians will say not to worry unless the fever is 102 or higher. It is hard not to worry when it is your first.

Hope the little guy feels better soon. When baby is unhappy, everyone is unhappy. Best wishes.

Yeah, I guess I don't remember the age for the patches. They came out after my daughter was old enough to use them.
