Hello there! I hope that all of you are having a happy day.

It has been snowing on-and-off here in Monticello, MN. The streets and sidewalks are basically clear, but there is a light covering of snow on the grass. It is beginning to look like winter.

The sad news is that it looks like our oldest hedgehog, Chippy doesn't have a lot of time left. He has lost a lot of weight and he is very sluggish. The poor guy is almost at the end of his life-expectancy. He has been a really good pet. He is the friendliest hedgehog that we have. Here is a picture of him during happier days:

For the time being we're letting him rest, giving him his favorite food, and we're making sure that his cage is warm and comfortable.

I am sorry to make anyone reading this depressed. Losing a pet is hard stuff.

On a brighter note: it will be just eight days before we can meet Kentaro. I am looking forward to seeing him. He wiggles and moves inside of Kazuko's tummy. I am looking forward to talking and playing with him.

Have a happy day and wish Chippy well!

Jamie

I'm so sorry to hear about Chippy. I really understand how sad you are. I love animals very much, too, and I have had a lot of animals since I was a little kid. So I know how sad losing pets is.

But I'm sure that Chippy has been happy because you and Kazuko have loved him very much. I'm praying that he gets well, or at least he spends the rest of his life peacefully.

Anyway, your new family is coming soon! (You don't say like this in English?)
