Scott goes. Four are left.

Tonight's episode saw the final shuffling off to greener pastures of Scott Savol.  It had been a long time coming, and it is kind of a relief to see him go.  At this stage of the competition, he was in a bit over his head.

Joining Scott in tonight's bottom-two was the gradually-improving Anthony Federov.  (I think that he'll be the next to go by the way.)

The final-three is shaking out to be Bo Bice, Carrie Underwood, and Vonzell Solomon.  Vonzell is now my favorite contestant.  (She will be until Bo sings something awesome again -like "Whipping Post")

Side note: I am a little surprised at how anti-Scott a lot of people I know were.  At work, on this weblog, and out on the town, there weren't many people "feelin' the love" for Scott.  -I wasn't a big fan or anything, but I still contend that he was better than last year's stinker.

free at last...free at last...

Scott is the total opposite of loveable.

It's obvious that Paula didn't help Scott.........

Latest prediction; Bo wins it all, with Carrie watching, and Paula gets the boot before Vonzell.....

BTW, I watched the ABC "expose" On the "Fallen Idol", kinda strange he was recording at Universal Studio's (a Disney Company ). They never once stated that.

It's obvious Paula "helped" him, the other crap is just sizzle to sell a book and boost his PR for the upcoming CD.

Shame on Disney for trashing a Fox show tho.....

It's not a matter of being anti-scott Jamie. It's just that there were better singers than he who got voted off before him. He wasn't bad, no. Much better than last year's stinker (who was that again?) But he really lasted longer than he should have. I'm sure it's not the last people will see of him anyway because the top 10 usually go on that tour they do after each Idol contest.

Vonzell and Bo - these two are my pick for the top two!

That would be nice.  I have the feeling that Carrie will join Bo in the finals however.

Watching the show last night, I was entertained, but still found myself asking: "So what?"

That site was down this morning.  Too much Scott celebration?

I didn't watch it. It's all just to promote whatever he's doing. I agree so what if she helped him?

Oh and you're probably right about Bo and Carrie being the final two. I can dream though!

I like Bo and Carrie. I think they could be good as the final two. Scott needed to go, but Anthony really needs to go too. Something about him just drives me nuts.

I think Anthony should have gotten booted...I didn't think Scott did bad at all... I guess Anthony's time will come next week...

Although Vonzell is a sweetheart with a wondeful voice,I hope Bo and Carrie make it to the finals, and that Bo wins the whole thing. To me, he is a breath of fresh air.
Dont' get me wrong--I enjoyed Fanstasia, Ruben, and Kelly (I rooted for all three!)--but their first CDs were all R&B oriented. Although I like R&B, it would be nice to have a different type of album come out. I'm betting Carrie will get herself a nice country album deal out of this...

I think it will be either Bo or Carrie simply because they are different from the past winners. Rather significantly. One is a country sweetheart, the other a long-haired rocker. Gotta keep it interesting (as interesting as it can be these days, no?).

I find it wierd the week that Scott did better and got to boot over Anthony. Maybe their's more Scott-haters than Anthony-haters? Hopefully Anthony doesn't do a Jasmine from last year. Vonzell's seem to be gaining more fans as each week go by so she's become a really good contender. I actually hope it will be Vonzell and Carrie for a more interesting competition.

Bo is the only one who doesn't need to change or imrpove in some area or another.
Carrie is a great vocalist but she needs to learn to perform on stage.
Vonzell is a great performer but I believe her vocals is a bit weak compared to the other two. Maybe it's the difficult songs she chooses.
