Tonight, FOX television aired the first episode of the summertime series: "Hell's Kitchen". Sixteen contestants (few with restaurant experience) are competing for a chance to own their own restaurant.
Since the contestants have basically no experience, their chef training is being conducted by British import Gordon Ramsay. Gordon -a highly-acclaimed chef- is a harsh critic of the contestants, and demands perfection. I wouldn't like to be in that kitchen listening to him, but it makes for good entertainment.
On tonight's show, the contestants were broken into two teams, each serving half the restaurant. After some incredibly long waits for the customers, and the kitchen closing early out of frustration, the least-bad "chef" from the "losing" team had to choose two of her teammates for potential elimination. Gordon chose which one would be eliminated.
Since I am not going to recap this show, I will end my description there. But what did you think? I thought the show was fantastic. It is the most interesting reality show that FOX has tried since Joe Millionaire 2.
I will definitely be watching it next week.
