Newly broadcast on BBC America

Over the past week or so, BBC America has been introducing some new shows. (I think that their scheduling is based on fiscal years, rather than on "fall lineups".) Capitalizing on the rising profile of Gordon Ramsay, BBCA has started airing a show called "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares Revisited". (If this show had already been airing, I certainly missed it.) It airs for the first time each week at Tuesday 9 Central, with plenty of repeats.

Being a big fan of "Hell's Kitchen" on FOX, I decided to give Ramsayfs other show a try.

The premise of the show is that Gordon Ramsay visits failing restaurants for a week at a time. During the week, Gordon works with the ownership and the staff to get the restaurants on the right path. After some improvements have been made, Gordon revisits the restaurant to see how the changes have held. It is really interesting to see whether the staff can adapt, and whether the ownership can accept the changes.

What is really impressive is Ramsay's sense of humor. He is really funny when dealing with the staff. He was training this one waiter on an episode that I just finished watching. This guy was dreadfully bad while giving a speech about the soup of the day. Gordon said, "I'll be gray by the time I'm done with you." A bit later, they cut back to the waiter giving the same speech, while Gordon exclaimed, "God, now my pubes are going gray." Hilarious.

So if any of you are looking at your TV Guide for something fun to watch, let me recommend this "Kitchen Nightmares" show. Funny, charming, entertaining stuff.

I watched that last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.  The part where GR rolled up in a fetal position on the floor because Zack couldn't get the soup speech right tickled me too.

I'm going to make that a 'must see' show.
