Yesterday my family visited the Minnesota Renaissance Festival with my friend Andy's family.  (One of Kenny's new words is "Andy".  That's cute.)  The weather was as good as one could get for one of these (low -70s and clear), and there were surprisingly few people.  (Apparently the first weekend is always slow.)  I hope that the weather will cooperate on the first weekend next year!

Here is the cup that we added to our collection of "Ren fest" cups.  This year we bought our cup from a different vendor than we had previous years.  There isn't much of a difference in shape and design, but it is something new.

My wife made a cute costume for our little boy.  He looked so cute in it!

Kenny was happy to see my friend's baby.

Hi sheep.

Kazuko got to know a goose.

Lots of fun dirt to play in.

At present, there aren't any pictures with me in them.  I may post them when they arrive via e-mail some day soon.  (They're all in Chialing's camera.)

Very cute! I'm hoping that since we're in Minnesota we can go to the state fair. I suppose that will start up here right quick.

You have an adorable family!

That sounds good.  The problem with the fair is that it starts on the same day that teachers' workshops do.  (Every year!)  So if I want to go (and I do), I'll have to go on a weekend if I want to spend the day there.  I'd much rather go on a weekday.

Of course this wasn't a problem a few years ago when I lived within walking distance of the fair.  That was nice.  (Now I live an hour away.)

I appreciate your description and photos of your great day. I didn't attend the Renaissance this year but went instead to attend the last day of the Irish Fair Celebrations. It was so great.
