Hello there. Lunch time!

I was reading other people's blogs here on my computer. Someone wrote an article for his "Quest for the top..." He critiqued all of the top-ten weblogs (point-wise.) Apparently my weblog didn't fare so well.

It was written that:
#4 JamieBurnside. Wow, what a scam. It's my direct suspicious that this guy has about 30 family members who read his blog every day and vote "insightful" for every post because they love the cute baby pictures. It's sort of like if I wanted to write a dry, laundry list of the events that happened throughout the day, except written at a 6th grade skill level, with the same amount of creativity and personal insight.

Ouch! Maybe I should try to be more contraversial!

Here's something interesting/ amusing:

I told one of my kindergarten students to cut a piece of paper in half. I told him to do a good job.
As he was cutting he said to himself, "Jesus wants you to cut slow."

LOL... It's funny until you wonder where he got that idea, and then it is kind of creepy... lol

it is funny. not that creepy. if he believes in jesus, more (non-political)power to him. plus scissor safety is important!

If your dead grandmother or the Beatles speak to you and give you commands, then you've got a screw loose, but if Jesus speaks to you and gives you commands, it's a "miracle."

I can't agree with that comment about your blog because I'm not of the opinion that blogs can't be about personal events and should be pompous philosophical prose about issues that appeal to nobody.

Oh, come on, don't pick and choose.  New Age people have their 'spirits' and goddesses, and psychology nuts have 'whispers from their inner child'.  If Christians have a screw loose then they do too, which makes the smallest minority of atheists sane.

"It isn't me that is crazy, it is everyone else!!"

Jamie,

I like your blog just the way it is.

As if it matters what he thinks anyway...

Anyone who is writing a blog that is specifically for the judgement of others is wasting their time anyway.

BAM!!!

Jesus wants you to cut slow!!!!
Now that's funny shit worth relaying!

You are no scam! You are one of the top blogs because of American Idol updates, your interesting commentary on TV shows, your cute pictures of your family and house, and simply because you are darn fun to read! That guy is sour grapes.

Have a good day and keep up the blog the way it is.

If Christians have a screw loose

I never said Christians have a screw loose; most of the Christians I know (my former self included) have just never received such instructions from Jesus.

if you weren't receiving a message from Jesus, then you weren't really listening... i'm not saying that he gives pointless directives like "cut slowly", but he does guide us if we seek him...

and it breaks his heart when we deny him

I guess that's why I gave up on Christianity; I wasn't getting the secret messages. Maybe my decoder ring was broken.

Why don't you say something positive for once BulbousHead
