Lately it has been one thing after the other...

The day before yesterday my wife and I had to bring our newborn baby into the hospital to help him recover from jaundice.  A day under the lights cleared that all up, but it took a long time for the discharge doctor to show up, and my wife spent most of yesterday in the hospital.

The pilot light in our heater kept going out.  Apparently there is a leak in the gas line that feeds the pilot light.  We had to have that repaired.  (I think I had to call at least a dozen heating/plumbing places before someone actually answered the telephone!)

I went shopping with my mother-in-law yesterday.  I brought my wife's cell phone along with us.  Somehow I lost it between my house and my car.  (I noticed almost immediately that it was missing.)  We looked ALL OVER for it.  So a new cell phone will be coming in the mail soon.

Hopefully this string of bad things is at an end.  I suppose that ups and downs tend to cycle in and out during the year.

They say bad things come in threes so you should be over all the bad things now. It's a reassuring thought but I don't know if it's true. Plus you have one great thing that happened which would be your new baby and that cancels out all the bad things.

Yeah, like LM said, misfortune seems to come in triplicate so it looks like you're at the end of your run.

Sorry to hear your newbie is ailing.  My daughter was jaundiced too; but I was in Florida at the time so a day in the sunlight was all she needed.

Baby is okay now. A few hours under the artificial light cleared him right up! We also got a really cute picture of baby with the eye covers on. He looks like Spiderman.

Dena had jaundice. It was late spring so all I did was lay her nude on a blanket in front of the sliding glass doors at the townhouse. It worked! Jamie was also jaundiced but it was before he came home from the hospital (mom's got to stay longer in the "0lden days"). You have used up your rule of three. As soon as the new phone comes - you will find the old one. Need more pictures on the blog!
