Having read the entire "Harry Potter" series to this point, I was really excited to see the fourth installment in the "Harry Potter" series of movies. I have -in fact- just returned from the movie theater.

I must say that I was really, really impressed with this movie. It was visually stunning, the special effects were fantastic, and the story ran along smoothly. (I was a bit worried when reading the story, that it would -due to its length- translate poorly into a two-and-a-half-hour movie.)

This installment of the series was the first that I saw in an actual theater. I saw the first two on video, and the third at a drive-in. I was especially impressed by the backgrounds and sets in the movie. Wow! Were they all that good in the theater?

All-in-all, extremely enjoyable. I'd say that this installment was the best yet of the entire series. My favorite scene(s) in "The Goblet of Fire" were those leading-to and during the school dance. The emotions of a teenage school dance were really well-done. The whole series of events added a different flavor to the movie.

Well, I saw Harry Potter last night, and I actually was a tiny bit dissappointed. I thought, of the four films thusfar, that this installment was the most poorly edited and left the me with much to be desired. I have not yet read the book, so I am assuming that the length of the book had a lot to do with the challenges they had in making this film flow smoothly. I did enjoy it, especially the mermaids, but Prisoner of Azkaban remains my favorite.
