For a good part of the past hour, I have been trying to post something on my geocities website. Not being able to do what I want is driving me NUTS!

Once I sign in (which takes an incredibly long time), I get sent to an entry page that I have never seen before. That entry page tells me that Geocities is improved, and it is easier to navigate. Problem is, I don't know where to go to get to my files/uploads list. That seems like neither an improvement in navigation, nor ease.

Eventually I click on something that might be what I'm looking for, and then the site stalls.

As a matter of fact, I am writing this article as the geocities site is apparently "processing". I wish that they would have left good enough alone. Hopefully I can post what I want to before this evening.

What did you expect for free?

If it doesn't work; it's broken. If it's broken; get a new one.

There's other ad-supported (aka free) website hosts out there. 250free comes to mind, but I'm biased - hates the sidebar geocities adds to pages. Quick .. click that thing off!

I kind of like the changes,I have two sites with them one free and one I paid for.I got a big suprise on my premium site,I paid for 175MB of space and when I saw they changed every thing, now I have 2.6gigs I can use.The only thing I dont care for is I can only upload 5MB at a time.

Yeah, now that I've gotten used to it, it isn't so bad.

I think that they were in the process of "upgrading" when I wrote this complaint article.

Still, there does seem to be an extra step before I can access the easy upload feature.
