Plus late-November Ainori.

Today my wife and I took the boys to the zoo.  In order to keep our one-month-old warm, my wife had to hold the baby under one of my jackets. (Her jackets are too small for a passenger.) She has the baby under this gigantic jacket.  She looks like George Costanza when he wore his new Gore-tex jacket at the liquor store (when he broke a few bottles).

After the zoo, we went to the Asian grocery store.  Our older son always enjoys looking at the meats and fish section.  He is also always on the lookout for tofu dishes, crackers, and candy on the shelves.

We were able to find a video of "Ainori" from early November through the beginning of December.  We watched all two hours this evening after the kids were sleeping.  It was so fun!  I felt bad for tk-kun.  I thought that he would have made a good pair with mie-chan.  (If you know what's going to happen, don't tell me!  All of my Ainori discussion is current up to three weeks ago.)

Which zoo did you visit?

I was a big fan of the MN Zoo in Apple Valley since it opened in 1979 (summer between 1st and 2nd grade?), but I had been taken to Como Zoo for a loooong time before that. My first solid memories are at Como.

Taking my own kids to Como Zoo during summer 2004's trip to MSP was a wonderful circle being completed.

Now you're getting me all misty for the Twin Cities.
