Yesterday a package arrived in the mail from my mother in-law from Japan.  She sent us the last three episodes of the Japanese weekly late-night show, "Ainori."  Wickpedia Link

The biggest event of 2005's final show would be the end of the three-year "Hide saga".  This one young man, Hide (prononced "hid-day"), has spent the past three years (through 14 different countries) in the love wagon, in search of true love.

In these three years, Hide has been invited to return to Japan by two individuals (and was awfully close on a third.)  Eventually, the time came when Hide found a girl that he wanted to invite to return to Japan.  That girl was Aya.

Difficulty arose when another suitor arose, competing for Aya's affection: Hide's rival Arashi.

In the end, both Hide and Arashi requested that Aya returned to Japan with either of them at the same time.  This caused a scene on a Romanian bridge where Aya ultimately chose Arashi.  Hide's three-year search for love ended in vain.  It was sad.  One is happy for Arashi and Aya, yet sad that Hide left alone.

That said: I don't think that Aya was all that good for Hide.  I think that Aya and Arashi make a reasonably good couple.

My dream for Hide is that once he returns to Japan, he'll be reunited with his lost (potential) love Kayo. (Who left the show on her own before Hide could request her to return with him.)  My wife thinks that I am crazy for even thinking that's a possibility. -I am just hoping for a "happy ending".  Ever since Kayo left, Hide hadn't been the same.  Maybe we'll learn more about that situation on a future "update episode".

Poor Hide:  Looking for love, but left empty-handed.

Hide's rival, Arashi:

Aya: broke Hide's heart by choosing Arashi.
