These audition shows are really hard to write about!  Tonight's show was entertaining enough, but it didn't leave as much of an impression as other shows have.  The main "news" of the show was that Paula and Randy had pestered Simon enough after two days, that Simon left before the end of auditions.  (I really don't understand why Randy and Paula were going after Simon so harshly.  It was really unwarranted.)

One singer could possibly go far.  A 21-year-old dark-haired lady named Katherine McPhee.  The judges said that her singing was fantastic.  I thought that she sounded alright.  My wife told me that I should have been more impressed with her talent.  Huh.  Anyway, she looks a little bit like Val from Beverly Hills 90210.

Looking over my notes, I don't really see much else to comment on.  Decent enough show, just no real standouts.  (...besides McPhee.)

Next time out it is Las Vegas.

O/K. Jamie...I am going to make a bold statement. I think that girl, can't remember her name now, who is the daughter of the voice teacher, will win.
Let it be documented, unless she doesn't!

That could be. I'll be watching to see how she does.

I want to know if Zachary could get itself pregnant. That was just too freaky.
And Sammy....that was another. wrapping himself up in that blanket and singing "Whole New World" and then "Straight up". Whatever. The androgynous thing seems to be a theme this season. None have really stood out for this year, but then, I'm not really the one who cares. I only like it for the auditions, when the freaks and geeks show up to be shot down. I love that.
Man, some of those people either:

1. Come just to get on TV, or:

2. Are utterly, completely, delusional. Rhonetta springs to mind.
They say YES, WITHOUT A DOUBT, they're the "next American Idol". Then they get up and make noises like a laryngitic banshee that dropped an anvil on its foot. Then they go and get pissed off when they get turned down. Who tells these losers they can sing, anyway? Geez!

Absolutely she is phenominal and has a shot at the title. That girl can truly sing-she has the control, dinamics in her voice. Hate to say it dude, but, your wife is right.

I meant Katherine McPhee-outrageous good.

I wonder if the previous poster is the same one who used to write to me about that one girl who cried a lot last season.
